Conversations With Care

In todays busy world, it’s hard to do it all. As a mom with a small business and two young  kids, I was forced to take on all care for my mother with Alzheimers her when her husband passed away suddenly.  Moving in with our busy family amidst my third pregnancy and a large renovation, our hands were definitely full.  When we had to move my mom to a long term care facility, I quickly realized that although they cared for her physical needs, they too didn’t have the resources to provide for her mental health.  With the epidemic of loneliness that many seniors are facing, the lack of social connection affecting more people than diabetes or obesity, I realized there is a definite gap in services for our beloved seniors, parents and relatives, and that there had to be a better way. This is the foundation on which Conversations with Care was built; a focus on strong relationships, dedicated care and support outside of PSW services that may be available. The personal connection of a friend. Whether you or your loved one is living alone in their home and needs some extra reliable help around the house, or living in a long term care home or retirement residence and would like a familiar face to visit with a couple of times a week, Conversations with Care can help.
